Our very first Kids Fishing Derby was held on Saturday July 3 and we’re happy to report there were about 35 kids participating! The feedback has been very positive – it seems everyone had a lot of fun and we’re getting some great photos and stories in.

Many thanks to our FLCA Board member, Scott Dales, for all his hard work in putting the Derby together! We’re in the process of collecting all the photos and stories and posting to the FLCA web site which will take a little time. But we’ll get a link out to everyone for your viewing enjoyment and awarding of prizes as soon as possible.

2) Widest Fish (belly to back)
3) Most Honest Fisherperson
4) Youngest Fisher-persons
5) Best Fishing Hat Contest (can be made from things around the house/cottage)
6) Best Farlain Lake Fish story

Each category had a boy and girl winner.
