Federation of Tiny Township Shoreline Associations

The FLCA is a member of the Federation of Tiny Township Shoreline Associations, an organization representing shoreline associations in this township.  Most of the communities represented by these organizations are located on Georgian Bay.  Farlain Lake is the only community in FoTTSA located on a fresh water lake, but shares many issues and challenges with the other communities.

FoTTSA “promotes thriving and sustainable shoreline communities in Tiny Township by bringing together and representing almost all of the associations of shoreline residents. FoTTSA uses effective communication, education and advocacy to promote positive environmental stewardship and to provide leadership for sound public policy on key issues.”

FLCA members may be familiar with the FoTTSA newspaper, The Tiny Cottager, which is published twice a year and delivered free of charge to all property owners and residents of Tiny.   FoTTSA also sends out the FoTTSA Flash, an email newsletter about everything that matters in and around Tiny.

If you’re not receiving your copy of the newspaper or FoTTSA Flash, contact them at webmaster@tinycottager.org.

FLCA members have access to the FoTTSA retail discount program.   All you need is your FLCA membership card, the FoTTSA membership card issued to all FLCA members when you join or renew your membership and for RONA discounts, the special account code provided to FLCA members.  A list of the retailers in the region participating in the discount program can be found on the FoTTSA web site.

The FLCA pays a membership fee to FoTTSA annually in June based on the number of members in the FLCA at that time.  The FLCA has a representative on the FoTTSA Board of Directors, providing us with a voice in the federation.
