Tiny Township Proposed Potential Strategy Under the Drainage Act
The attached report PWR-022-25 – Farlain Lake Water Levels – Pdf was prepared by the public works department of Tiny Township in response to a deputation made by some members of the Farlain Lake community in June of 2025. At the August meeting, Council approved staff’s recommendation to proceed with Option #3, although there was also some consideration to the need for a hydrogeological study as outlined in Option #2. The next step was for the Township to hold a public information meeting (PIC) which would include the Township Drainage Superintendent, and focus on educating the public as to how the process outlined in the report would work, including potential costs to residents.
That meeting was held on November 25 and the recording is available on the Township’s YouTube channel. Members of the community are strongly encouraged to view the recording in order to understand the process that would be involved under the Drainage Act. You can review the attached Summary of November 25, 2025 Public Info Meeting which has been prepared in consultation with the Township.
