The fun begins! Hey Kids! It’s that fishing fun time of year again! This year you have a full day and a half to catch your prize winner! Make sure you have your parents sign you up to the annual Farlain Lake Fishing Derby to see if it might be “you” who catches the Big Fish of the Day! Even if you miss catching the Big One, you won’t want to miss the fantastic BBQ on Sunday. Once again it will be at the Dales’ residence located at the northwest end of the lake where more fun, great food and prizes will be awarded.

The Derby opens on Saturday June 27 for the day from 8 am – 4 pm and continues on Sunday June 28 from 8 – 11 am.  The fun wraps up with a BBQ held at the Dales’ at the north end of the lake at 2 pm for all participants where prizes will be awarded.

It’s free! Open to all kids of Farlain Lake families and friends over the age of 2 and under the age of 18. Registration is required in advance to allow us to get your fishing kit to you before the Derby. The format is similar to previous years – “catch and release” and photos will be used for judging prizes.  See the details on the FLCA website under  Events/Kids Fishing Derby.
